How to choose an XXL cat tree
A large cat (6 to 10 kg) is not served by a standard model: stability is what changes everything, not height.
- Load rating before height. Our XXL trees are rated from 25 to 50 kg: for two adult Maine Coons, take the upper bracket.
- The base. The taller the tree, the wider the base has to be, or the tree strapped. Floor-to-ceiling models (2.52 to 2.85 m) tension-mount against the ceiling and stop moving altogether.
- Platforms. A 60 cm-long cat needs wide beds and condos it can enter without folding; check the inner dimensions on the sheet.
- Sisal. Posts wrapped in natural sisal take a big cat’s scratching without unwinding.
